Anna is a student at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) majoring in Social Work and minoring in Psychology. At UMD, she is the mental health officer for the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Association. Before starting her internship with First Witness Child Advocacy Center (CAC), she has volunteered at Safe Haven as a childcare worker and at Neighborhood Youth Services (NYS). These places helped her continue her passion of advocating for children and working with them. After graduating in Spring of 2022 with her Bachelor’s of Social Work and Psychology minor, she plans to work in the field of Child Welfare and eventually get her Master’s of Social Work. When she is not working or interning at First Witness CAC, she enjoys going out on adventures, hiking, and finding new music to listen to. Anna is excited to be interning at First Witness and is looking forward to using current skills, gaining new ones, and being able to use them to help others.
