Amber has been on our team since August 2023 in a variety of different roles including Fundraising and Community Engagement Coordinator, Prevention Education Volunteer, and Intern, but has settled on the Forensics Team and a Forensic Interviewer and Trainer. In this role, Amber provides neutral forensic interviews to children, adolescents, and vulnerable adults who allege abuse and maltreatment. Amber graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor’s in criminology and sociology and a minor in psychology. Throughout her studies, she found a passion for working with children with disabilities and has since continued researching and learning as much as she can on that topic.
Outside of working at First Witness, Amber spends a lot of time at the dog park with her dog who keeps her grounded after a long day of experiencing the difficult things she does in this field.
During her spare time, Amber enjoys being in nature, journaling, and spending time with her family and friends.
