Abby moved to Duluth in 2023 after graduating high school in Farmington, Minnesota. She was raised by a family of teachers, always emphasizing kindness and respect. She has always known that she wants to pass their knowledge along, so she worked in a classroom as a student aid in high school only to soon realize that the classroom environment wasn’t for her. So, when applying for undergraduate schools she went with her gut and chose the path of Criminology. Throughout her time at UMD, she has found that there are ways to incorporate her passion for helping children within her major. She is now in her final semester, about to graduate with both a Criminology and Sociology degree. She is excited to be here at First Witness Child Advocacy Center and can’t wait to learn how to be a strong advocate for those who need one. In her free time, you can find her at a coffee shop with a book. She is quite literally reading every chance she gets!
