Ally graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Superior (UWS) with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a focus in Mental Health and Criminal Justice Studies in May of 2020 and became a Licensed Social Worker in December of 2020. During her time at UWS, Ally participated in the Student Social Workers Association and interned with Carlton County’s Restorative Justice Department working with community youth. Before Joining First Witness Child Advocacy Center (CAC), Ally worked as a Case Manager with the YWCA’s Young Mothers Program, working with Young Mothers to develop independent living skills, parenting skills, and complete their educations as well as managing the advocacy staff.
Ally’s passion is working to address the mental health crisis in youth in the area and hopes to offer Social Emotional Learning resources and preventative tools prior to crisis. Prevention education and support services are a few things Ally hopes to be able to contribute to as an Advocate at First Witness CAC.
