Amber has been on our team since August 2023 in a variety of different roles including Operations Assistant, Prevention Education Volunteer, and Intern, but has settled on the Operations team as the Community Engagement Coordinator. Amber graduated from UMD with a bachelor’s in criminology and sociology. In 2023, Amber spent a semester studying abroad in Scotland where she was able to take courses to further her knowledge of Scottish Culture and of the criminal justice system. Amber is passionate about working for an agency that puts the best interest of the child at the forefront.
Outside of working at First Witness CAC, Amber works part-time as an independent contractor with Twin Ports Pet Sitters because working with animals keeps her grounded after a long day of learning about and experiencing the difficult things in this field. She also has her own dog who she cherishes and loves going home to at the end of the day.
During her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time in nature, journaling, and spending time with her family and friends.
