Ava graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in May of 2024 with a major in Criminology and a minor in Psychology. Originally from St. Cloud, Minnesota, she moved to Duluth in 2021 to further her education in one of her favorite places. Ava has experience working with children as she was employed through Sartell Community Ed’s childcare program the summer after graduating high school. She has also been coaching dance to children of all ages through Just For Kix for the past 4 years. Throughout her time at UMD, Ava gained a special interest in Trauma Informed Care and Restorative Justice practices. She looks forward to interning with First Witness CAC, as she will further her knowledge of forensic interviewing and advocacy while practicing her skills in empathy and engaging with children who allege abuse. In her free time, Ava loves to read on her Kindle, explore the North Shore, and spend quality time with her family and friends.
