Carly moved to Duluth to further her education with the University of Minnesota Duluth. During this time, she studied psychology but soon found the world of criminology to be equally fascinating, compelling her to study both. Throughout her undergraduate years, Carly held various jobs while working as a criminology teaching assistant and completed an internship with First Witness CAC. Throughout her internship, she fell in love with the work First Witness provides, which then drove her to pursue advocacy following her graduation from UMD. Carly found that being able to make a positive impact during a time of crisis is incredibly important, and that is what makes her so passionate about her role here.
Carly is deeply invested in making a positive impact on the lives of others, while meeting caregivers where they are emotionally to provide support in whatever way possible. She is thrilled to be on this advocacy journey with First Witness while working alongside their team.
During her spare time, Carly enjoys cooking, going to trivia nights, trying new coffee shops, and spending time with the people close to her. She loves all Duluth has to offer and is excited to further her time here and gain new experiences.
