In our first gathering of the month, we’ll have fun with LEGO! Take on a building challenge or free-build and let your imagination guide the way. In our second gathering of the month, in addition to LEGO, we’ll get out an assortment of building toys and elements, as well as everyday household building materials like cardboard, popsicle sticks and recycled materials. Are you caring for the child(ren) of a family member, friend, or neighbor (FFN)? Join us for a fun-filled morning to meet other care providers and play and learn with the little ones you care for. Each session will include time for caregivers to learn about the following themes from guest experts: October 1: Early Literacy with the Duluth Public Library November 5: Challenging Behaviors with the Center for Inclusive Child Care December 3: Nutrition with St. Louis County Public Health March 4: Early Childhood Development with Help Me Grow April 1: TBD All participants will receive free books, supplies, and snacks. Have you ever wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons aka D&D, the structured and open-ended tabletop roleplaying game? Join the newly-forming D&D group at the West Duluth Branch! Our Dungeon Master will run a "one-shot" or short campaign to get things started. Participants are encouraged to bring their ideas for world and character-building and to help plan future campaigns in this monthly program. For kids in grades 4-8.
