Join us for our annual summer community gathering! It will be at Harrison Park on July 21 from 10AM-2PM. There will be bounce houses, climbing wall, relay races, music, Mobile Library, snacks and drinks, sidewalk chalk, water painting, Duluth Fire Department, Duluth Police Department, family-friendly community resources, and more! The second session in this series we will be all about nature crafting and making biodegradable art to beautify the garden space and to take home! Natural materials of various textures and shapes will be used to construct hanging mobiles, garden trolls, fairy homes and whatever else your imagination can come up with! Materials from the garden, as well as materials like driftwood, sticks, leaves, grasses, dried seed heads, rocks and more will be responsibly harvested for use, but feel free to gather and bring your own materials as well. Gaming day at West! Try out the library’s Virtual Reality Goggles, and while you are waiting for your turn, make your own video game characters out of Skittles® candy! After we take a picture of the character you make, help yourself to your artwork. All VR participants need a signed waiver by a parent/guardian available in the library or online:
