Sami joined the First Witness team as an intern in August. She is originally from Benson, Minnesota and moved to Duluth to pursue degrees in psychology and criminology at the University of Minnesota Duluth. She will be graduating with her undergraduate degrees this December. After graduation, she will be applying to a master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in Oswego, New York. Her work at First Witness will help to guide her focus in counseling.
In the past, she has enjoyed working with kids of all ages as both a dance instructor and colorguard coach. During her time in Duluth, she has spent time volunteering with S.E.R.V.E. and working on a research team looking at positive psychology interventions for children. In her limited free time, she enjoys reading, writing, crafting, and dancing.
